Okay the big day is here! The province of British Columbia is heading to the polls to hopefully elect a new Provincial Government. In my option the current Liberal Government needs to be replaced. As I have mentioned in a previous post that I have already cast my vote at the advanced polls last week.
I would honestly say I would not be able to do what I do if it was not for the fact that I have a laptop computer. With out one I would be tied to my desk and would not be able to work whenever and where ever. Now I can sure say that the technology that has gone into laptops these days sure beat my first laptop that I had when I was in high school that only had a monochrome display and no wireless connection, to my what I have now is a dual core, full colour, with wireless and Bluetooth connectivity and much better performance with battery life and that of earlier laptops.
It is amazing the selection you can find these days at a Dollar store where the premise is that most items are a dollar too a couple of dollars. You can get household items, cleaning supplies, personal care, food items and of course the odd unique items that you would not find anywhere else. I have even found that the quality of some of the items are just as good as stuff you would pay much more for in a regular store.
Yes I am grateful for Public Transit. Though it might not perfect or the best in any sense but the fact that I do have access to a public transit system that can get me from one place to another is better than having to either walk everywhere or take and pay for taxi cabs or wait for someone to be able to drive me somewhere.
The New Year (2017) is now upon us! Many people will make “New Years Resolutions” too only abandon them a few days after making them. I prefer to at the begging of the year to take inventory of my past year, taking note of the successes of 2016
Last year (2016) saw lots of success, which I celebrate such as the fact that I managed to pay off two items that where in collections as well I was able to pay off my Samsung tablet that I had financed. Some of the other success that I have had in 2016 where in my businesses with both substantial growth in both Brent Dynamics (information technology services) as well root.MEDIA (web services provider), I had even migrated all of my clients for root.MEDIA from my previous service provider to my new service provider with out any downtime or major disruptions to my clients websites, and other Internet of Things.
In 2016 I also saw that through my faithfulness in my service at Relate Church brought me new opportunities to grow and serve in a much greater capacity as one of the Director/Producers for the live Internet stream which I am very grateful for. I have made new and lasting relationships through the small groups that I attended through the Church, having a circle of entrepreneurs that I can call friends.
Other successes of 2016 are coming to the realization that I needed help dealing with my “Depression and Anxiety” and taking the steps necessary to get the support I needed.
Looking Forward to 2017
I can only imagine what 2017 will bring my way, like what opportunities will I a get to grow my businesses, my faith and relationships. Over the next few days I will spend sometime focusing on setting goals for the year to come!
I already know a couple of my goals for 2017, one of which is to deal with the last item that I have in collections and get it paid off. Another goal for 2017 is and will happen sooner than later is that I will be getting my Forklift Ticket thanks to my brother. I could go on and on with what could be a never ending goal list.
