Brent Higgs

Let me begin by saying that I got my learners drivers license on Monday July 5, 2010. There is nothing like being thrown in the hot seat on my first driving lesson I drove from my house in Abbotsford all the way to Vancouver for my first lesson.  All I can say is it was an experience in it’s self, I was nervous at first and a tad bit scared to be behind the wheel for my very first time ever driving in real traffic.

I am very surprised with how well I did do for my very first time ever driving I managed to merge onto the highway, stay in my lane, granted I did weave a little as I am not an experienced enough yet but it will come with more practice and training.

I am looking forward to my next driving lesson and gaining more experience and skill with driving, I am excited about the possibility and the freedom that this will bring me once I am able to get a car of my own and have my full license.

The song: Travie McCoy – Billionaire has be come somewhat of a theme song for my life in that I want to to be a billionaire. I wanna buy all the things I never had and be able to give money away to worthy causes and charities. and be able to help people like single moms get ahead or into a place where they can afford and not be worried. I would help my church out with getting some of the stuff they need to keep going with their ministry and outreach.

So if I had a billion I would buy property and rent them out at affordable rates for people to afford, I would probably pay off my parent’s mortgage and my brother’s mortgage. I would be able to help so many people. Would having all the money make me happy? I know I would not have to worry about any bill that would come my way and I would be able to buy what I needed and invest my money so that I can make more money so that I would be able to give more away.

Okay maybe not tastes it but I can see it and know it will happen and that is my dream of driving, I have been waiting for this for sixteen years in the making. As many people know I have a visual impairment once corrected I have the vision required to obtain my Drivers License. I have gone through all the medical tests that I need to take to obtain my License and have passed them all with flying colours, now all I  have to do is wait on the Supper-intendant of Motor Vehicles  to sign off on my paperwork so that I can obtain my Learners permit and begin to learn how to drive.

Yes I have someone lined up to and willing to teach me how to drive, and I am grateful for this person very much.

Brent Dynamics just launched it new and improved website and added a new service at the same time. The new service that Brent Dynamics added to there site is “Web Site Maintenance” at an affordable rate of only $25.00 per hour with a minimum of one hour being charged for any job. I look forward to the growth that will take place because of the new Web Site Maintenance.

That is the question, some people might say I am while others might say that I’m just a tech or programmer. So that leave me to wounder “What is an artist?”

Wikipedia say that an artist is a person, a person who  creates art or preforms in the arts. Therefore does that mean that someone like my self who mixes sound for his Church (Royal City Community Church). Where we there are other artist that are skilled with talent to play interments and sing. Does my involvement in pushing a few buttons and balancing the sound constitute me as an artist or just someone skilled at operating a sound mixer and making me just a tech. I would have to lean more towards the artist side of things as with out my creative input does it become technical? I would say there is a technical aspect to the operation of a sound system, but how I layer the different interments and voices and in doing so creating a compilation of sounds.

I’m going to call my self an artist, I feel that what I do is an art form.

All I can say is what a wonderful past few days we have been having in my area the suns been shining, lots of flowers are in bloom so I spent a good portion of my afternoon out walking around my great city taking some spectacular photos of some of the sights and beauty and thought I would share it them here.

As I go through each day I keep myself open to the possibility of adding new and exciting dreams to my dream wall at home, so recently I added two new images to my dream wall. The first of the two images is a Black Berry Bold, and the second image is an image of an Ipod.

Why you might ask, a Black Berry Bold. The main reason is stability of the platform, and the one major benefit is it is not reliant

on a touch sensitive surface like the Apple Iphone and many other touch based phone. Secondly I have had experience with using  both a Black Berry and an Iphone. I find touch technology to be at times hard to operate.

The Apple Ipod I want is of course the Ipod 160Gig Classic there is not much to be said about wanting an Ipod they just do a great job of playing music.

These are just two of my dream devices that I want who knows what tomorrow may bring, I may find some new gadget or technology that I want for my own enjoyment.

Yesterday I had the privilege of assisting my friends at Land Mark Education in the heart of Vancouver.  Before the evening event I had a bit of time to tour around Vancouver and take in some of the site of the 2010 Olympics being hosted in the great city of Vancouver.

I didn’t travel to far from where I needed to be but I did get to see the cauldron and the crowds of people around it, and to be honest it was one of the things I wanted to see in person and take a picture of. I also saw some great garden work done as well.

The rest of my night was awesome and I enjoyed the seminar that I was helping out at. Where I committed myself to completing my business plan by April 12, 2010. Now that I have a fixed date I am more likely to complete and not procrastinate any further on my business plan.

So today I had a bit of time to focus on some of my dreams and in doing so felt great about where I am heading with my dreams.  The reason I had a fair bit of time on my hands this fine sunny Sunday in February as I am reliant on my beloved pastors to drive me too and from church as I don’t yet have my drivers license or a car for that fact.  As my pastors are looking at buying a condo closer to our church, I get a fair bit of free time while they are out looking at places to buy. As I sit in the back seat of the car I have lots of time to bonder, and day dream.

While I was sitting day dreaming, I began to day dream about the day I would move in to a house where I would be able to get my first Pitt Bull. I day dream how I would feel how grateful I was of being able to fulfill one of my dreams. I would have the peace of mind knowing that I have more then enough to cover any vet bills that my come up. I also got present to the affection I would feel from my Dog.

I also imagined that I was able to drive and I was driving my dream car and feeling the gratitude for all the people that helped me obtain my drivers licenses, the gratitude I would have for the freedom I would have. I imagined myself driving in to my church, and home and too my parents, and too my brothers more often. I have also come to the realization that I will need to study and be diligent to obtain my dream of driving

I have come to the conclusion that for me to be able to achieve some of my dreams I will have to make some drastic changes to my living arrangements and life style. To facilitate my dream of owning not one but two dogs I have to find a suitable living arrangements that will allow me to obtain and keep a dog.  Where at my present apartment it has been made clear that the owners are very un-accepting of pets, in particular dogs.

Further more, at the present time I’m not in any particular rush to fulfill my dream as of present I’m I need to fulfill a different dream first and that dream is to be “paying cash” for every purchase that I make and have a substantial source of income to accommodate my ever growing dreams that I am developing and pursuing.

So I am excited and engaged in my dreams for my life and business, I am looking forward to the time when I am able to move on to a place where I am able to fulfill my dreams there is an aliveness and an energy in my now to fulfill even more of my dreams knowing that I understand that some changes that may not be the greatest or most desired will have to happen, but in the fulfillment of dreams I can look forward to some uncomfortable transition but as long as I keep my focus on the final results.
